Subject: Urgent Request for U.S. Support in Haiti
Dear (insert name),
I am writing to you this morning out of desperate pleas and an urgent request for our government to intervene in the humanitarian crisis taking place in Haiti. Our organization, One 17 International, has been working in education in the Central Plateau region for 13 years. The current gang takeover puts our staff, students, and community in imminent danger. We are doing our best to support from afar but our ability to intervene is limited at this time as access to even basic resources is currently cut off. Please, we urgently request that the US government supports the people of Haiti, our neighbors, our friends. Thank you for your continued support and advocacy for the people of Haiti.
Sincerely,
