Haiti Staff Assistance Fund
The financial crisis and devaluation of the US dollar in Haiti has resulted in economic hardship for our staff and school family. We are committed to walking with our team during this difficult season and have already launched a staff assistance plan. Our 3-tier assistance plan increased our staff budget by 40%. $30,000 is needed to provide additional support and sustain the livelihoods of our team members.
School Van in Haiti
A school van will help us to provide transportation services to our staff. 27 out of 43 staff commute from outside areas. It will also allow our team to safely haul supplies to and from the city and provide an affordable way for our schools to take students on field trips. Haiti can be a difficult place to travel safely; therefore, an enclosed vehicle will best serve our team long-term. $20,000 is needed for this initiative.
Cambodia Assistance Fund
Recent flooding throughout Cambodia has placed our staff and school family in a season of hardship. The average family in our province relies on subsistence farming to provide for their basic needs, but most families lost their harvest in the flood. We are launching a community outreach initiative to help. $10,000 is needed to provide support to our staff and school community.
Campus 1 kitchen in Haiti
At the same time our student enrollment is increasing, there is also a heightened need for food distribution in the community due to food insecurity nationwide. We have developed plans for a new kitchen facility at our first campus to help prepare and distribute meals more efficiently. $30,000 will fully fund this endeavor and will help to provide overhead costs for new outreach initiatives.
